The 2025 holiday season just got better for cord cutters after it was announced that the NFL heads to Prime Video with two festive matchups. The home of Thursday Night Football scored a touchdown with the third edition of Black Friday Football and the NFL on Christmas night game.

For Black Friday, shoppers can find the latest deals on Amazon and tune in to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles taking on Caleb Williams and the Bears. On Christmas, the savings will continue, and football fans can enjoy a prime-time matchup between AFC West rivals when Patrick Mahomes and the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos.

Black Friday Football has quickly emerged as a new tradition on the national sports calendar, and we are ecstatic to feature the Super Bowl champions in this tentpole event for the second year in a row,” said Jay Marine, VP and global head of sports and ads, Prime Video. “The viewership of last year’s Black Friday game grew more than 40 percent year-over-year, and we’re equally excited to present a Christmas thriller between the Chiefs and Broncos in prime time, featuring some of the biggest names in the sport.”

The games were announced during Amazon’s 2025 Upfront at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan. The presentation featured the Thursday Night Football broadcast team: Charissa Thompson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, and Taylor Rooks. The full 2025 TNF Schedule was released earlier this week.

During the presentation, Amazon announced that Prime Video has more than 130 million active users on its ad-supported plan, giving the NFL an audience of millions of devices across the world. With that massive audience and its growing lineup of sports, commerce, and entertainment, including expanding its free Live TV offerings, Amazon has become a must-have for millions of cord cutters.

Marine added, “The holiday shopping season stands as one of the most critical stretches of the year for advertisers and retailers looking to attract the massive audiences that congregate around major events. Prime Video has an unparalleled sports lineup during this important period, as well as a targeted, full-funnel offering that cannot be matched.”
