A new Polaroid Roku TV model is available at Asda stores in the UK. The television runs on the built-in Roku OS and offers the same channels familiar to Roku users. The Polaroid smart TV connects you to free programming, well over 100 live streams, premium channels, and more.

Polaroid Roku users in the UK can use a built-in Freeview tuner to access thousands of free and live channels, including the BBCiplayer, ITVX, All4, My5, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Paramount+. They’ll also be able to stream Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music through their televisions. You can even sync Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant as well as other voice assistants to Polaroid Roku.

Customers will be able to personalize their home screen. It also offers screen mirroring and private listening through the Roku mobile app.

Polaroid’s Smart TV offers HD, FHD, and 4K UHD picture quality. It hosts Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Audio. Cinimaphiles may enjoy all that this smart TV has to offer and it was developed with them in mind. However, gamers might find this model lacking. It doesn’t have automatic low latency mode switching nor 4K/120 Hz feeds. This smart tv also doesn’t have variable refresh rates.

For now, the Polaroid TV will only be available in the 55-inch screen size. More sizes will be available in Asda stores at some point, but there are no details on when they’ll arrive or what sizes will be released. Forbes reports the Polaroid Roku TV will cost £349. We’ve reached out to Polaroid for comment but have yet to hear back.

Polaroid is the 5th brand to sign up with Roku OS. RGA, METZ, TCL, and Sharp also support Roku. Check out everything available through Roku here. If you’re outside the UK, visit the Roku store to find out what’s available in your country and see their full catalog of available devices.
