Through the rest of the month, until March 1, Pluto TV UK will keep the award season celebrations going with a premium selection of past award-winning and nominated films, series and documentaries.
UK channels Pluto TV Movies, Pluto TV Indies, and brand-new Pluto TV World will be featuring films, actors and filmmakers that have been presented and honored at major film festivals, beginning at 9pm.
That includes the first non-Hollywood production to be nominated and win Best Actor (Charles Laughton) – 1933’s historic fiction drama The Private Life of Henry VIII – as well as Charlize Theron in her Best Actress awarded role in Monster. Mini-series Academy Award Winners: Thirty Years of Winners will take enthusiasts on a trip down memory lane by listing the Academy Award nominees and winners from 1972 to 2002.
Series that have been honored and nominated, including Skins and the Accused series will be available on Pluto TV Drama and Pluto TV Made in Britain as well.
Documentary Heath Ledger: A Tribute touches on the life and works of this unique but troubled talent who left the screen of life before his time. Other highlights to watch: Angelina Jolie: Skin Deep, Katharine Hepburn: The Great Kate. All full-length documentaries and docu-series will run as a marathon throughout February on Saturdays and Sundays on Pluto TV Documentaries and Pluto TV TheGrapevine.
The new channel Pluto TV World is the home of a 24/7 collection of feature films and series. Here, you’ll find critically acclaimed content from around the globe. This includes Spanish series Infieles revolving around the lives of five young women in Barcelona, Mexican comedy-drama film Instructions Not Included and French drama Après le sud.
