Pluto TV Now Has 26.5 Million Monthly Active Users, Showtime and CBS All Access Reach 16.2 Million Combined

In today’s quarterly earnings call, ViacomCBS shared highlights from its slate of streaming services, including subscriber numbers.

CBS All Access and Showtime together have reached 16.2 million subscribers, up 74% year over year. ViacomCBS has started plans for transforming CBS All Access into a “rebranded super service” by adding over 3,500 episodes from across the ViacomCBS portfolio. CBS All Access will continue to expand, relaunching in early 2021 with 30,000 episodes and movies, while remaining at the current $9.99/month price point for the ad-free tier. The company reported that Showtime has its strongest quarter ever for signups, as well as minutes watched, driven by original programming including Homeland, Billions, and The Chi.

Pluto TV also saw an increase for the quarter, reaching 26.5 million monthly active users, a 61% increase year over year. Contributing to the free streaming service’s success was expansion into Latin American markets and Europe, with 6.5 million international monthly active users added, as well as distribution expansion with deals with Verizon, TiVo, and LG.
