Today Pluto TV announced that it will start recategorizing its channels to help make it easier to find what you want on the service. Pluto TV says starting today, you will find three new categories, including Drama, Sci-Fi, and True Crime, that will make it easier to jump to the channels you want. Pluto TV says it will continue to work on improving its channels by categorizing them over the next few months into early 2024.
“With the growth of the platform there are opportunities to better align the categories on our guide to help our users find the content they want to watch faster,” states Scott Reich, SVP Programming, Pluto TV. “These changes are based on long-term user data trends and preparing for future content expansions as we continue to entertain the planet and drive viewing hours to new heights.”
Today, Pluto TV also launched a new set of ads to promote its human-curated according to Pluto TV, unlike its rivals who use AI, pluto TV uses humans to create the custom channels you enjoy.
Here is one of the ads Pluto TV is running to promote its human curated channels:
“When developing this campaign, we set out to connect with audiences in a meaningful way that captures the essence of Pluto TV and how transformative it has been to the world of television,” states Val Kaplan, Global SVP, Head of Consumer Marketing, Pluto TV. “Our creative focus was to spotlight what sets Pluto TV apart in the increasingly competitive streaming market– the human element of curation that is intrinsic to the very human experience of watching television.”
Pluto TV says it now has over 400 international media partnerships to help bring content to Pluto TV. Instead of just using AI to randomly place this content, Pluto TV is dedicated to using Humans to make it as accurate as possible.
Pluto TV is now available on a wide range of devices, including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Android, iOS, and more.
