Unsolved Mysteries was a classic mainstay of ‘90s television. Tomorrow, the long-running true crime show will get a tribute worthy of its 16-season run. Unsolved Mysteries: Behind The Legacy will celebrate the show’s 35th anniversary by going behind the scenes of the hit show starting tomorrow on Pluto TV.
The special will feature interviews with co-creators Terry Dunn Meurer and John Cosgrove and veteran actors, producers, and directors of Unsolved Mysteries. It will show a highlight reel of the crew’s favorite segments. Fans can re-experience famous cases in a new light with behind-the-scenes commentary by the crew. This will also include never-before-seen outtakes of beloved host Robert Stack.
While there have been several hosts, most will recognize Robert Stack as the face of Unsolved Mysteries, walking the audience through cold cases for 11 seasons. The show was one of the first to engage audiences by encouraging anyone with information to call in a tip that could help investigators. The series helped solve 260 cases, according to Decider.
