Pluto TV Adds Over 50 New Channels in Canada, Doubling Its Hours of Content

To celebrate its one-year anniversary in Canada, Pluto TV added more than 50 channels to its catalog for Canadian viewers. The expansion means Pluto TV in Canada now offers more than 40,000 hours of content.

Free ad-supported services, like Pluto TV, are growing in popularity as viewers look for ways to save money without compromising on entertainment. As of 2022, Statista said Pluto TV had 79 million monthly active users making it the most popular free, ad-supported service worldwide. The data platform estimates that Pluto TV will grow by 10 million monthly active users by 2027.

  • More MTV channels like MTV Xmas, MTV Spankin’ New, MTV Biggest Pop, Yo! MTV, and MTV Classic. Pluto TV will also live stream the 2024 MTV VMAs and EMAs.
  • Love Pets
  • Leave it to Bryan (includes shows like House of BryanDisaster DIYBryan Inc., and Island of Bryan)
  • Pluto TV Holiday Programming with channels like Christmas 365, More Christmas 365, Crackling Fireplace, Festive Fireplace, and Holiday Lights
  • Real Disaster Channel
  • Sailor Moon Channel (includes seasons 1-5 of the original show and 2014’s Sailor Moon Crystal)
  • Naruto Channel (includes season 1-4 of the series live and on-demand)
  • NickToons (includes shows like The Fairly Odd Parents and Sanjay & Craig)
  • Pluto TV Adventure Channel
  • Crime Files (The channel will launch in January 2024 and include shows like Exhibit A72 Hours: True Crime, and See No Evil)

Pluto TV in Canada will also add new genres and content categories like crime, true crime, classic TV, sci-fi and supernatural, comedy, drama, movies, game shows, factual, news and opinion, local news (includes 13 local live Canadian news channels), home and DIY, food, kids, French, sports, anime, and music.
