No matter how many times people try to come up with something new, they always come back to the traditional TV grid guide. For over 30 years the traditional TV grid guide with its horizontal rows letting you know what each channel is showing has been the standard in American TV. Now Plex is adding a traditional grid guide to their OTA DVR service.

With Plex Live TV & DVR you can connect an antenna to your Plex server and use it as your DVR. Plex Live TV & DVR will also stream the content out to other devices.

Now Plex Live TV & DVR on the web will give you a traditional grid guide. Plex says that they also plan to roll out their traditional grid guide to more devices.

For years companies have tried to find a better way to display what is on TV. Yet every attempt to replace the grid guide has fallen short. Hulu recently announced plans to roll out a more traditional grid guide, and now Plex is doing so too.
