Today we are very excited to announce that our team is getting a little bit bigger. This week we added a new full-time employee to the Cord Cutters News team. Jess Barnes has been writing for us as a freelancer and she now joins our team as Cord Cutters News’ first full-time writer!
Look for Jess to be posting stories covering the world of cord cutting. She will bring a new voice to the site as we work to help you get the best possible cord cutting coverage. You will also see Jess helping to manage our Facebook group and other social media accounts.

Hi, I’m Jess! You’ve probably seen me on Facebook, liking all of your comments about your favorite Netflix series.
I went to school at Edinboro University for Communication Studies. After college, I lived in New Orleans as a professional volunteer, worked in nonprofit, then started freelance writing in 2012. I’ve been writing weekly posts for Cord Cutters News since 2017. Since then, I’ve signed up for every streaming service free trial I can find and have tried every streaming device I can get my hands on. I’m excited to dedicate more time to finding cord cutting stories and sharing details with all of you to help you save money and find the content you love to watch.
Look for me on the website, in the Tech Support group on Facebook, and in the YouTube video chats. I want to hear about what you’re watching and what cord cutting topics you’re interested in hearing about next!
As Cord Cutters News continues to grow, the addition of Jess is just part of the big plans we have for 2019. Our goal is to not only give you the best possible coverage of everything cord cutting but to also help you save money any way we can.
While nothing may change overnight, look for new and bigger things to come as we continue to move deeper into 2019.
