Today PlayStation Vue contacted their subscriber to inform that that effective September 13th 2017 some changes will be coming to their lineup.
According to the email, the Outside TV Network will move from the Elite Plan to their sports add-on. If you do not subscribe to the sports add-on for $10 a month before that happens any shows you record on the Outside TV Network will be removed from your DVR.
Here is the email Sony sent PlayStation Vue subscribers today:
As of September 13, 2017, Outside TV will move from the Elite plan and only be available in the new Sports Pack add-on. As of this date, Outside TV programs will no longer be available through your current plan and any Outside TV programs saved in your DVR will no longer be accessible. Sports Pack add-on details are available at www.psvue.com/sports. Sports Pack includes NFL RedZone, MLB Network Strike Zone, Outside TV and 10+ other sports channels, and can be added to your Elite plan for $10/mo*.
Thank you for being a valued PlayStation™Vue subscriber.
– The PlayStation™Vue Team
The PlayStation Vue Sports Add-on Pack includes the following channels:
- NFL RedZone (Sept – Dec)
- MLB Strike Zone (During regular MLB season)
- ESPN Bases Loaded (During NCAA college baseball championship)
- ESPN Classic (On Demand)
- ESPN Goal Line (During regular college football season)
- Longhorn Network
- Outside TV
- NESN National (regional sports network national feed)
- NBCUniversal regional sports networks (national feeds):
- CSN Chicago
- CSN Mid-Atlantic
- CSN New England
- CSN Northwest
- CSN Philadelphia
- NBC Sports Bay Area
- NBC Sports CA
Now you won’t get to watch out of market games with the sports plan sadly. A Sony’s spokes women, when asked about that, said “However, for the national feeds of the regional sports networks, you’ll get the sports programming available, but it does not include live games.”
So if the Outside TV network is important to you the $10 add-on will be a must have.
