It seems that Sony is trying to counter a growing list of competitors including Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW, Hulu, Fubo TV, YouTube TV, and more. There are also others about to launch a live TV service including Comcast and Verizon.
PlayStation Vue is also feeling pressure from existing services like Sling TV as they are adding a DVR and a traditional grid guide. It seems that Sony is moving to offer something new of their own to help them stand out.
This is breaking news and we will update this story as we learn more.
