Last week Philo rolled out an update to their Android TV app with bug fixes and the ability to add live channels to your home screen.

Now on your Android TV home screen, you can launch directly into your favorite channels on Philo. Love HGTV or the Hallmark Channel? Now you can launch directly into that channel without launching the Philo app.

This comes a few days after Philo announced the addition of MTV Classic to their lineup. Now with your $16 a month package from Philo you get access to classic MTV shows including “Daria,” “Beavis & Butt-head,” “Aeon Flux,” “Run’s House,” “Pimp My Ride,” “Cribs,” “Jackass,” “Punk’d,” “Wonder Showzen,” and “Clone High.”

Philo also recently announced a deal to let federal government employees get a free month because of the recent federal government shutdown.

Philo has slowly been updating their features and offerings adding a new guide on more streaming players.
