Recently the live TV service Philo announced that it would be dropping two channels short later this month. AXS and HDNet were scheduled to leave the service on July 31, according to a statement but not it looks like a temporary deal to keep the channels on Philo has been reached.
According to Philo support, no long-term deal has been reached, but Philo and the affected networks have agreed to keep the channels live as talks continue.
AXS offers music-related programming, such as concerts and reality shows, while HDNet is a movie channel. Both are owned by HDNet LLC.
Philo competes with YouTube TV, Frndly TV, Hulu and Sling, among others in the live TV streaming game.
Philo lineup includes over 70 live channels, while Frndly‘s subscribers can watch over 40 channels live and on-demand (channel listings are subject to change).
