Opening Day for the 2026 MLB regular season is a couple of months away, but fans can expect to watch games on a familiar platform.

For the upcoming season, NBC Sports is taking a big swing with a package of games that includes Sunday Night Baseball, an MLB Sunday Leadoff block, a July 5 “Star-Spangled Sunday” with all 15 games, and exclusive Wild Card coverage.
- Start date & Opening Day highlights: Coverage begins March 26, 2026 with an Opening Day doubleheader — an NBC/Peacock matinee (Pirates at Mets) and a primetime Dodgers opener as they raise the 2025 World Series banner.
- Big packages: NBCU will carry a mix of 27 primetime games and 34 afternoon telecasts across NBC, Peacock and NBCSN — including 18 MLB Sunday Leadoff games on Peacock.
- One game, every day (streamed): Peacock will offer one out-of-market game each day of the season streamed nationally.
- Star-Spangled Sunday (July 5): All 15 MLB games that day will be presented nationally across Peacock and NBC.
- Postseason: Peacock/NBC have exclusive coverage of the entire Wild Card round (roughly 8–12 games), meaning early postseason matchups will stream on Peacock.
