Peacock Will No Longer Be Free For Comcast Customers Next Month – Here is Everything You Need to Know

Next month, Comcast will no longer be including the streaming service Peacock with its service plans at no additional cost. NBCUniversal previously offered free access to Peacock Premium members through Comcast but the deal ends soon as Peacock hasn’t been a profitable endeavor for either network. Despite having over 22 million subscribers, Peacock reported $704 million in lost revenue for the first quarter of 2023. 

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming changes.

Starting on June 26th, 2023, Comcast members will get a free sample of Peacock featuring a collection of channels featuring television series and films on demand. For new Peacock Originals and NBC series, only the first episode will be available to samplers, so if you see something you like take advantage of the limited window to continue using Peacock.

Eligible users will have the option to resubscribe to Peacock Premium via a limited-time offer by either following the prompts on their televisions or by visiting Peacock’s website. An email reminder will be sent to all Peacock Premium Plus members when Comcast removes the no-extra cost option.

Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus members have access to the same content, such as live sports events in addition to an array of films and television series. The only difference is Peacock Premium Plus members can stream video content advertisement free in addition to streaming local NBC channels.

Comcast users who opt out of resubscribing with be defaulted to the free sample version of Peacock and recurring payments for the service will cease.
