Are you a budget-minded Trekkie looking for a free way to binge Star Trek: Strange New Worlds? Bounce over to YouTube to watch the entire first season of the series, completely for free on the Paramount+ channel.

To celebrate the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Paramount has uploaded the first season on YouTube so everyone can catch up before its release on June 15th. The next season will only be available on Paramount+.

This is a bold move for any streaming service, which typically (if ever) never releases content for free with no strings attached, especially for such a popular series. Sans Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, everything else on the Paramount+ YouTube channel is pay to watch.

Start with the first episode and binge to your heart’s content… at least for as long as this is available. When will it end? Only Paramount knows, so best to jump on this before the season joins the other pay-to-watch video catalog.

As described by Paramount+, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock, and Number One as they explore new worlds around the galaxy. In the premiere episode, one of Captain Pike’s officers vanishes, forcing him to come out of a self-imposed exile to rescue the officer.

The series features dozens of writers and directors, each tackling an episode or more. It stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Ethan Peck as Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, filling out the cast with several dozen more talented actors.

You don’t have to sign up for anything to enjoy Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season one on YouTube. For season two, you will need a Paramount+ membership, which starts at $4.99 a month. The streaming service offers a free one-week trial and there are no contracts so you can cancel at any time.
