Just as with cable TV, streaming services have also seen prices increase. This has been driven by higher costs to create content and lower ad revenues, pushing services to raise prices to find profitability.

Of the top 10 most-watched TV networks, six are free with an antenna, according to a recent report from Variety.

Here are the most-watched TV networks in primetime:

#1 NBC
#2 CBS
#3 ABC
#4 Fox
#5 Fox News
#6 ESPN
#7 Univision
#8 MSNBC
#9 Ion
#10 HGTV

That is just the top ten. Many other free over-the-air TV networks are also rated highly just outside of the top 10.

#13 Telemundo
#21 MeTV
#28 The CW
#46 Bounce TV
#58 Cozi
#60 Start TV
#74 Laff

These are just some of the channels you can get free with an antenna. If you have not tried an antenna recently, this may be a great time to do so.

This list will likely change as a growing number of free over-the-air TV networks have launched in 2024, which includes the launch of MeTV Toons, a free 24/7 classic cartoon network launching later this month.
