The next entry in the Outlander series is just months. Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the highly anticipated prequel series, will premiere Friday, August 8, on Starz.
The new series stars Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) as the two leading couples. Viewers will get a look at an in-depth look at the war-torn battlefields of WWI and the Highlands of 18th-century Scotland. The series will focus on love stories of each young couple, which will be filled with action, drama, loyalty, and passion.
Joining the quartet are a host of stars, including Tony Curran as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie, Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie, Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, and Conor MacNeill as Ned Gowan. The prequel serves as a backdrop to Outlander, with Slater and Roy portraying the parents of the main series couple Claire and Jamie.
