Oprah Partners with Amazon for Her Podcast, TV Show & Book Club

Amazon and Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Entertainment have signed a deal to bring The Oprah Podcast on audio and video to Amazon’s Wondery.

Beginning in July, the podcast will air two new episodes per week. Wondery will bring The Oprah Podcast to Amazon platforms including Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV Channels, and Audible. The podcast will also be available on YouTube other platforms where podcasts are available.

The Oprah Podcast is just the latest in Wondery’s deals with creator-led shows. The lineup also includes New Heights with Jason and Travis KelceBaby, this is Keke PalmerMind the Game, and Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard.

Listeners and viewers can tune in to hear Oprah Winfrey have meaningful conversations with thought-leaders, global newsmakers, best-selling authors, and cultural changemakers. Guests have included Misty Copeland, Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson, Mel Robbins, Leanne Morgan, Jeremy Allen White, Adam Grant, Serena Williams, Ina Garten, Scott Galloway, Maria Shriver, and Esther Perel.

Talking to both celebrities and everyday people, the podcast takes on a wide array of topics like tech addiction, divorce after a long marriage, estranged families, coping with caregiving and grief, financial health, how to build community and improve relationships, and our unbreakable bond with dogs. There will also be special “Oprah’s Book Club” episodes, featuring author discussions in front of live audiences.

The Amazon deal also includes rights to The Oprah Winfrey Show library, “Oprah’s Book Club,” and “Oprah’s Favorite Things,” with the potential to further expand the partnership in the future.
