Since premiering in theaters in mid-May, Obsession has earned over $400 million in global ticket sales, according to Variety. The indie horror film from YouTube filmmaker Curry Barker had a longer than normal theatrical window (45 days, rather than Focus Features’ normal 17 day run) but is now available to rent or buy to stream at home.
About Obsession
After breaking the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart, a hopeless romantic finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.
The film was written and directed by Curry Barker, known for his sketch comedy on YouTube, and executive produced by Jason Blum. Obsession stars Michael Johnston as Bear Bailey, a music store employee, and Inde Navarrette as Nikki, his coworker and crush.
