Nvidia Shield’s Update This Week Breaks Tablo Engine & HDHomeRun’s DVR

Do you use an Nvidia Shield and have Tablo Engine or HDHomeRun for your DVR you may want to skip this week’s Nvidia Shield update. Both Tablo and HBHomeRun are warning of issues with the update and their DVR software. Again this only seems to apply to people who use the Nvidia Shield as their DVR for the HDHomeRun or the Tablo Engine.

Update: HDHomeRun posted that they have now started to push an update to their Google Play app that will fix the bugs introduced in the Nvidia Shield update this week.

Issues like this are very common with major updates like the won the Nvidia Shield had this week. Very likely in the next few days or weeks both applications will be updated to address the issues the new Android 9.0 updated created.
