Have you ever wished you could help pick the movies or TV shows that are added to Netflix? Now you can do just that…
Netflix has a page hidden in its Help Center that lets users suggest movies and TV shows to be added to its streaming service. You can suggest up to three shows or movies be added to Netflix at a time.
To submit a request for a show or movie you must go to Netflix’s Help Center. On the website, click the down arrow next to your name (after you logged into your account). Select Help Center, and on the right side of the page under Quick Links the first choice should be Request TV shows or movies.
If you are using the Netflix app (on phones or tablets), select the menu in the top-left corner of the screen. At the bottom of the list, you’ll see Go to Help Center. Selecting this will open up the page in a web browser. From there, just scroll down until you see Quick Links, and you should find Request TV shows or movies.
Just because you suggest a movie or show does not mean it will show up. Netflix likely uses this information to get an idea of what its users want; however, a lot more goes into picking which shows and movies are added.
The content owner also has to be willing to sell Netflix the rights to the movie or TV show. So send the content owner an email to let them know you want them on Netflix.
