Nielsen: Netflix Dominates the Top Streaming Charts with ‘Inventing Anna’ and ‘Love is Blind’

After a somewhat slow start, Netflix’s Inventing Anna is up 169% since its opening weekend for the week ending Feb. 20, reaching 3.2 billion minutes of streaming time, making it the top-performing title of the week overall. It also is now the 8th most popular show on the platform since Nielsen starting this measurement method in 2020.

The streamer had two other shows break the 1 billion minute threshold for the week as well. Love is Blind had 1.4 billion minutes after the interval release of its second season. The popular blind dating reality show has a viewer demographic of mainly 18-35 year olds. Meanwhile Ozark sat at just over a billion minutes, behind Encanto on Disney+ which had 1.2 billion.

Prime Video’s new adaptation of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books which debuted Feb. 4 landed in fourth place in terms of Originals, followed by Sweet Magnolias and another Prime Original, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Netflix and Disney+ swept the list for acquired titles leading with NCIS and every child’s favorite CoComelon. Disney+’s contributions include Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at number 6 and Bluey coming in at number 9.

No surprise here – Encanto was the most watched movie of the week. Disney+ recently revealed that the average subscriber has watched Encanto five times since its release, with the title accumulating over 180 million re-watches globally.

Netflix carried the bulk of the movie list with St. Vincent, and The Tinder Swindler still ranking high. Disney+ finished out the top ten bookending with Moana.
