Football fans with a VIZIO Smart TV can now enjoy the NFL Channel app, which launched today.
VIZIO released a new NFL app on its line of smart TVs, offering fans more sports entertainment and games. Fans can cheer on their favorite teams through the NFL app and NFL+, which includes live streams of the NFL Network and NFL RedZone, as well as live out-of-market preseason games. Catch live local and primetime regular season games and postseason games, the latter of which is only available on smartphones and tablets. The app also includes live local and national audio for every game.
The expansion includes integrating NFL coverage into VIZIO’s subscription service later this year.
“We’re excited to broaden the NFL content offering, bringing even more NFL entertainment to the homes of millions of VIZIO users,” said Katherine Pond, group vice president of platform content and partnerships at VIZIO. “With the launch of the NFL app, the renewal of the NFL Channel and the on demand NFL programming lineup on WatchFree+, VIZIO continues on our path of expanding our sports programming.”
The NFL Channel offers season recaps, documentaries, classic games, and NFL shows such as the Emmy Award-winning series Hard Knocks, NFL Game Replay, NFL Mic’d Up, NFL Top 10, The Top 100 Players, and Around the NFL. VIZIO users can access additional NFL content, including NFL Top 100, America’s Game, and other on-demand titles via WatchFree+, VIZIO’s free ad-supported streaming service.
A membership for NFL+ costs $6.99 per month or $49.99 a year. Upgrading to NFL+ Premium costs $14.99 per month or $99.99 for an annual subscription. In addition to everything an NFL+ membership includes, Premium account holders can also watch full and condensed game replays, NFL RedZone, and a film called All-22 Coaches.
The NFL app on VIZIO is available in time to catch every NFL Network exclusive game, including the Kansas City Chiefs play the Miami Dolphins on November 5 at 9:30 a.m. ET in Frankfurt, Germany, followed by the New England Patriots versus the Indianapolis Colts on November 12. The app is available on mobile phones, tablets, and select connected TVs, now including VIZIO Smart TVs.
