NewsNation, one of the fastest-growing U.S. cable TV news networks, will premiere a new Sunday show next month. The Hill Sunday with Chris Stirewalt is scheduled to launch on Sunday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. ET.

The show, hosted by Stirewalt, will feature a variety of politicians and newsmakers discussing the latest political news from the nation’s capital. The news program will also host a panel of guest commentators to offer insight and analysis of the week’s top stories.

“We are delighted that Chris will be joining the new weekend lineup,” said Michael Corn, NewsNation’s president of news. “He is a legendary figure in Washington and one of the most respected, intelligent, and well-sourced journalists covering U.S. politics.”

The Hill Sunday with Chris Stirewalt joins several new shows joining NewsNation as the network shuffles its lineup to expand its news coverage into a 24/7 network. Earlier this month, NewsNation said it will debut a new three-hour weekend edition of Morning in America hosted by Hena Doba starting January 27. The network also launched a new daytime and weekend lineup for its news network programs.

Stirewalt joined NewsNation in 2022 and served as the network’s political editor, covering major political events, including the 2022 midterms. He also led the editorial team behind NewsNation’s first presidential primary debate last December, which generated more than 4 million viewers across NewsNation and The CW Network.

Stirewalt hosts two recurring segments on The Hill, “Pulse of the People” and “Sitrewalt Breaks it Down,” where he offers insight into the 2024 election cycle. He is also a contributing editor for The Dispatch and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focuses on American politics, public opinion, and the media.

“I am proud to be part of NewsNation, where the promise of fair, honest, independent coverage has real meaning,” said Stirewalt. “Our industry has a nearly 80-year history of devoting time on Sunday mornings to programming that, in its best form, helps Americans to be better citizens by better understanding their government, the issues we face, and their choices as voters. It is a privilege to get to make whatever small contribution I can to that tradition.”

NewsNation is a Nexstar Media Group with a network of 5,500 journalists in 110 newsrooms throughout the country. The network reaches nearly 70 million U.S. households through major cable and satellite providers, YouTube TV, Hulu, DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Sling TV, and NewsNation’s website and app.
