Peacock shared a new trailer for the upcoming horror flick, Five Nights at Freddy’s, set to premiere on the streaming service October 27. The latest trailer shows the infamous puppets – Foxy, Bonnie, Chica and, of course, Freddy Fazbear – in action.

Where the first trailer outlined more of the movie’s plot and merely teasing the animatronic villains, the latest video showcases the movie’s scare factor. The Five Nights at Freddy’s video game series and media franchise has amassed a cult-following that is no doubt eagerly waiting to find out if the upcoming film does the original material justice.

The movie looks like it will follow the game’s narrative pretty closely. Mike, played by Josh Hutcherson of The Hunger Games fame, lands an overnight security guard job at what remains of a family-friendly restaurant, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Like players in the game, Mike must defend himself against nefarious animatronics lurking around every corner.

Five Nights at Freddy’s will play in movie theaters and on Peacock. The streaming service reported about 24 million subscribers in the second quarter of 2023. The franchise’s diehard audience could mean a sign-up surge when the movie releases.
