Did you enjoy the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as a kid? Netflix hopes you did, as Entertainment Weekly today broke the news that Netflix was producing a scripted Netflix Special to celebrate the original show.
This Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always special will bring back some of the original cast, crew, and others who worked on the show. Both cast from the first season and some of the following seasons will appear in the special.
This news comes as Netflix recently acquired the rights to the new episodes of Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury starting in 2023. Previously Nickelodeon had the rights to air the show in the past. It seems that Netflix is hoping to bring back some old fans to the show by bringing back the old cast, at least for a special.
Power rangers first aired back in 1993 and was a surprise hit. Now for 30 seasons, the Power Rangers has been a staple of television.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always premieres April 19th worldwide on Netflix.
