Netflix’s ‘Lucifer,’ ‘Army of the Dead’ Lead Nielsen’s Top Streaming Charts

Netflix held all three top spots on Nielsen’s Streaming Charts for the week ending May 30, leading with its Original Lucifer. The series garnered an impressive 1284 million minutes of streaming time powered by the release of Season 5B on May 28. Season 6 will be the series’ final installment.

The Kominsky Method slid into second place with just 495 million minutes streamed, followed by Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Hulu made the list with The Handmaid’s Tale in fourth place, falling from its No. 1 spot from the previous week.

A crowd favorite, Grey’s Anatomy was catapulted to the top of the Acquired category with viewers streaming 633 million minutes of Meredith Grey’s medical residency drama. Criminal Minds was a close second, followed by Startup and Cocomelon which has remained a consistent favorite children’s entertainment choice throughout the pandemic.

Netflix’s zombie heist film Army of the Dead held fast as the top-streamed movie again this week with 786 million minutes compared to last week’s 900+. Home, an older animated Dreamworks movie with an all-star voice cast made No. 2, and the streaming service’s new release Blue Miracle landed in third place. The movie stars Dennis Quaid as a guardian who enters a fishing competition to save his cash-strapped orphanage.
