Netflix’s Holds 9/10 Spots on Nielsen’s Weekly Streaming Chart

Netflix once again dominated TV screens landing nine out of the 10 spots on Neilsen’s streaming rank list September 14-20, including the number one spot for the most-streamed show. The streaming giant’s new original thriller Ratched was the number one streamed show, followed by Cobra Kai and The Office. Lucifer was bumped down to number 4.

The only non-Netlflix show to make it on the list came from Amazon Prime Video. The Boys ranked number 5 on the week’s most-watched shows, thanks to the Season 2 premiere on September 4. Amazon describes the show as “an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good.” Season 3 has already been ordered and a spinoff series is in the works.

Netflix’s top performer is a psychological thriller set as a prequel to Ken Kesey’s 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. It stars Sara Paulson in the lead role as Nurse Mildred Ratched and provides plenty of gore, devious plotting, and master manipulating.
