Netflix Will End Support For Some Older Sony TVs This Summer

This week Sony announced that some older model TVs will no longer have access to Netflix. All the impacted TVs are at least ten years old. On July 24, 2024, Sony TVs made in 2014 will lose access to Netflix.

Ten years is a good run for support of any device and owners of these TVs may want to consider a Roku, Fire TV, or other similar streaming player to continue to access Netflix.

In a statement on its website first spotted by FlatpanelsHD:

Sony announced, “Starting July 24, 2024, the Netflix app will no longer be supported on some 2014 BRAVIA televisions (Affected Models). You can continue to use the Netflix app until July 23, 2024.”
