Netflix Updates Their “Icon”

Now Netflix has updated what they call their “icon” that they use on social media.

It is expected that apps on everything from streaming players to phones will be updated shortly to reflect the new icon.

So why is Netflix changing their icon? One of the benefits of a new icon is the ability to grab people’s eyes and maybe draw them back to give the service another try. It also helps keep Netflix feeling new and fresh.

This move seems to be part of a recent effort on Netflix’s part to rebrand the service to address growing dissatisfaction with Netflix’s catalog.

Although this move is unlikely to make a major impact on Netflix subscribers it is a sign that Netflix is making aggressive moves to reinvent themselves in an effort to grow the service in an ever more competitive market.
