The series has been a top performer on Netflix since it debuted at the beginning of June and has also reached No.1 on Nielsen‘s measured streaming list. Analysts attribute its success to its appeal to a wide demographic, similar to how Netflix’s Stranger Things crosses age, gender, and more factors as something everyone can get hooked on.
The storyline is based on the fantasy comic by the same name and set after “The Great Crumble,” a devastating worldwide pandemic from which babies who are part human, part animal emerge. The plot focuses mainly on Gus, a boy who is part deer, and his protector as they make a journey to find the boy’s mother.
