We have great news for fans of Luke Cage on Netflix! Today it was announced that Netflix has renewed Luke Cage for a second season.
The only surprising thin here is that the news didn’t come sooner. The dark series has been well-received by both critics and fans, and when the show came out Netflix experienced a outage that many blame on the high demand for the show. Now that leaves the question: will Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders get new seasons as well as Luke Cage, Daredevil and Jessica Jones have so far? History suggests yes there will be more seasons, but there will always be concerns that Netflix might end the shows due to either a viewers tired of non-stop Marvel programming or high cost.

There’s no date for the new season, but the mere mention of more Cage is likely a early Christmas gift for many. Though it is likely we will see the show come out some time mid 2017.
