Netflix viewers have been keeping an eye out for the release date of several upcoming shows, including The Witcher. On Tuesday, Netflix Netherlands posted the release dates on social media and the news quickly spread online. Now, Netflix is saying that those dates may not be correct.
In the now deleted posts on Facebook and Twitter, Netflix Netherlands posted that fans would need to way 97 days to watch The Witcher, giving the series a release date of December 17.
This screenshot, shared by Redanian Intelligence shows the timeline for several upcoming Netflix series.
While some of these numbers line up with already announced release dates, Netflix says that not all of the information is accurate.
“The launch date for The Witcher has not yet been confirmed,” a Netflix spokesperson told Video Games Chronicle. “The post was made by Netflix accounts in the Netherlands in error, and not all of the information contained in it is accurate/final.”
Previously, Netflix said they planned to release The Witcher in the fourth calendar quarter of 2019. No word yet on what the actual date will be.
