Netflix Loses 1% Market Share in Q3, HBO Max Sees Significant Growth

A new report by JustWatch on streaming service performance in Q3 shows that the King of Streaming, Netflix, lost 1% of its market share during the quarter, finishing out the period at 27%. Netflix has seen other streamers cut into its leading market share for some time now, especially in the most recent years with Disney+, HBO Max, and more major launches.

Prime Video now has 21% market share, followed by Disney+ which has passed Hulu by one point at 14%.

While HBO Max ranks fifth in terms of overall market share (10%), the streaming service has seen significant growth month over month since July 2021. Apple TV+ has made its way to rank sixth with just 4% market share. However, the platform has made steady growth since February 2021.
