Netflix is attempting to lure young adults to the streaming service by making their original rom-com To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before available for free to non-subscribers through March 9th. The move came just before today’s premiere of the follow up film To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.
Netflix shared the news on Twitter.
Love is in the air! To celebrate, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is available for everybody in The US (and additional selected markets) to watch through March 9! pic.twitter.com/7I0c8omKqg

This free teaser strategy to pull viewers in with the free movie in hopes of attracting subscribers who will want to watch the sequel is a smart move for Netflix. With the launch of streaming services like Disney+ and Apple TV+ and the original content they’re offering, more Netflix subscribers are finding that the service just isn’t giving them the fresh new content they want.
With 80 million subscribers having tuned into To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before in the summer of 2018 alone, according to Netflix, this might be just the offer to bring in even more subscribers in the 18-34 age range.
