Have you ever posted a review on Netflix about a movie or TV show? Sadly, all the reviews are gone. Netflix has removed all reviews from their site.

This change comes about a year after Netflix replaced its star rating system with a simpler “thumbs up/thumbs down” system. According to Netflix, the thumbs up/down system was easier to use, and it produced more accurate personal recommendations for shows and movies. It also may drive viewers to watch more content. According to a recent report from Variety, Netflix saw a 200 percent increase in ratings by users with the “thumbs up/thumbs down” system during its testing.

This was first reported by Cnet, who confirmed the change with Netflix. According to Netflix, they have contacted users who have recently used the review option to inform them that they are no longer going to have user reviews.

Netflix has not commented on why they decided to end the review system, but they have slowly been downplaying the feature as they promote their AI system of suggesting movies and TV shows based on your viewing history instead of user reviews.
