Netflix Has Created a Contract for Couples to Commit to Binge Watching Together

If you like staying in and binge watching your favorite show with a significant other, Netflix is here to help you lay down the terms and conditions of your watching habits with a Co-Watching Contract.

The terms and conditions of the contract read:

‘I won’t fall asleep; I won’t get distracted by my phone causing the other person to rewind because I missed something; I won’t continue watching a show without the other person present; I won’t talk whilst the show is on; In the event that I come across a spoiler, I won’t share it with the other person.’

Netflix made binge watching a mainstream word when the streaming service released the entire first season of Orange is the New Black at once, back in 2013.

Since then, we’ve learned more about binge watching habits and learned that nearly half of Americans have lied to get out of plans to stay home and binge watch their favorite show .

Print out the contract and be sure to keep it in a safe place for reference when the next binge worthy series is released. (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, season 2 of The Kominky Method, and season 3 of The Crown are all coming up.)

You and your partner are on your own when it comes to the consequences of breaking the contract.
