Now it looks like in some European countries including Norway, Germany and Denmark, subscribers are seeing a return to higher streaming quality on Netflix with speeds for 4K HDR up to 15 Mb/second bitrate according to forums and other user reports.
Netflix confirmed that it’s working on getting things back to normal after the temporarily reduced quality.
“Please note, we are working with ISPs to help increase capacity. In the last month alone we have added four times the normal capacity. As conditions improve we will lift these limitations,” Netflix said in a statement to FlatpanelsHD
Netflix isn’t the only streaming service to lower its standard streaming quality to ease the strain on the overloaded internet. Amazon, Disney+ and YouTube all reduced the quality of their streaming in Europe as well.
