If Golf fans and comedy lovers need a reason to be happy, it has arrived. Happy Gilmore 2 is officially on its way, and Netflix has just released a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated sequel. Adam Sandler returns as Happy Gilmore nearly three decades after the original film, bringing back familiar faces and introducing new stars from both the world of golf and entertainment.

The latest trailer, which debuted Tuesday morning and can be seen below, gives fans a closer look at what to expect when Happy Gilmore 2 hits Netflix on July 25. The sequel follows Happy, who seems to have stepped away from professional golf, only to be drawn back into the game. Longtime fans will recognize the return of Julie Bowen as Virginia, who hints that Happy’s golf story isn’t over just yet. Reprising their roles from the original 1996 comedy are Christopher McDonald as the legendary antagonist Shooter McGavin, Ben Stiller, and Dennis Dugan. Meanwhile, new faces join the fun, including Bad Bunny as Happy’s caddie and a stacked roster of guest appearances from sports and Hollywood icons.

The film features an impressive lineup of cameos from golf’s biggest names, including Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, John Daly, and Paige Spiranic. Beyond the golf world, stars like Travis Kelce, Benny Safdie, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Conor Sherry, and Ethan Cutkosky will also make appearances.

Sandler co-wrote the film with longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy, with the pair producing under Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions. Kyle Newachek (Workaholics) is on board as director, alongside producers Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds. Netflix greenlit the project last spring, doubling down on golf-related content amid the sport’s recent surge in popularity. The movie’s production spanned 14 months, with portions of filming featuring top golfers and behind-the-scenes footage captured for Netflix’s Full Swing documentary series.

The first installment of Happy Gilmore dropped has long been a favorite among Sandler-faithfuls. Fans of the original can catch it streaming on both Tubi and Peacock.

With Happy Gilmore 2, Netflix aims to bring back the cult classic charm of the original while appealing to a new generation of fans. The combination of sports legends, comedic heavyweights, and nostalgic callbacks makes this sequel a must-watch when it premieres on July 25. Check out the latest trailer now on Netflix and get ready for Happy’s return to the fairway!
