The Critics Choice Real TV Awards 2020 were announced today, and Netflix lead the winner’s list for titles including its unscripted series Cheer, Queer Eye, and Love is Blind, as well as the crime and justice series Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich.
Overall, Netflix took home eight wins and had the most nominations of any network or streaming service. Other big winners include RuPaul’s Drag Race (competition series), ESPN’s The Last Dance (sports show), Hulu’s Hillary (limited doc series), and HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation (lifestyle: home/garden show). The culinary show category ended in a tie with two winners – Food Network’s Chopped and Bravo’s Top Chef.
Unfortunately, The Critics Choice Real TV Awards had to forego an in-person ceremony this year over current pandemic concerns. But you can watch the winner’s recorded acceptance speeches here.
