NBCUniversal & Exchange Will Provide Service Members with Free Streaming of the 2022 Winter Olympics

Army & Air Force Exchange Service and Comcast NBCUniversal are teaming up once again to give service members and honorably discharged Veterans full streaming coverage of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The XXIV Olympic Winter Games will take place from February 2 to February 20, and military members will be able to stream the Beijing Games on their personal devices and computers through ShopMyExchange.com.

“We’re excited to once again team with Comcast NBCUniversal to bring the Olympics to service members and their families, wherever they are called to serve,” said Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull. “The Olympics are like no other event, and we’re pleased to play a part in helping our military community cheer on Team USA.”

Service members and honorably discharged Veterans worldwide will be able to stream over 2,100 hours of events on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app, via authentication. Military members will be able to watch all the live coverage, top stories, interviews, highlights, recaps, select practices, and more.

“We’re honored to continue our partnership with the Exchange in bringing the glory of the Games to veterans, service members, and military families around the world,” said Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Carol Eggert, Senior Vice President of Military & Veteran Affairs at Comcast NBCUniversal. “We’re grateful for our military and its service to our Nation and excited to offer multiple ways for them to view all the action and stories of inspiration from Team USA.”

To watch the games on a personal computer or personal device, service members can use the NBC Sports app, or visit NBCOlympics.com, and choose the Exchange as their service provider.

More information can be found at Exchange’s online community hub with additional details from the announcement:

Because of content rights restrictions, an active ShopMyExchange.com account is required. OCONUS viewers must also be physically located on-installation at a military location with internet service through an authorized internet service provider to gain access. An authorized provider is one which has partnered with the Exchange on the technical solutions allowing streaming viewership on U.S. military installations in OCONUS.

The 2022 Olympic Winter Games will be held in Beijing from February 2 to February 20 with the Opening Ceremony streaming live on NBC and Peacock. Many live TV streaming platforms will be streaming the games with YouTube TV being the first to announce that they will stream the games in 4K.
