Want to earn something for all that TV you watch? NBCU’s WatchBack app will now let you earn gift cards for watching TV and giving your opinion. Sadly, though, the app is currently only available on iOS devices.
Right now, you can earn points good at Amazon, Best Buy, Burger King, Domino’s, eBay, Fandango, Krispy Kreme, Macy’s, NASCAR.com SuperStore, NFL Shop, Papa John’s, SiriusXM, Starbucks, Target, Walmart, and Whole Foods.
NBC’s WatchBack app includes full-length shows from NBC Networks like USA and Bravo. It also includes short-form content from over 60 partners including BuzzFeed, Mashable, CollegeHumor, and Refinery29.
NBC is not the first to launch an app like this. Though streaming is far more popular now leading to the likelihood that an app like this will be far more successful than apps in the past.
