NBC & Peacock Will For the First Time Ever Air Everything Live During The 2024 Olympics

NBC and Peacock are joining forces to present full coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. This is the third time Paris has hosted the Olympics. 

Starting Friday, July 26th, 2024, the events kick off with a live presentation of the opening ceremony by the Seine River – projected to be unlike any other kickoff to the Games in Olympic history. NBC will feature at least nine hours of daytime programming through August 11th focusing on the most popular events, such as live coverage of swimming, gymnastics, track and field in addition to several other fan favorites. 

“The Paris Olympics are going to be the most binge-worthy event of 2024. Viewers will devour every moment of the Games for 17 straight nights on NBC in primetime where the stories of the day will be retold with special dramatic flair in front of the gathered American audience. For those wanting to watch the competition as it happens, Peacock will have everything live, creating the greatest single destination in sports media history. From the spectacular landmarks of Paris to the world’s greatest athletes performing in front of full stadiums and arenas for the first time in six years, viewers can expect one of the most extraordinary Olympics ever,” promises Pete Bevacqua, Chairman of NBC Sports.

An “enhance” Olympic primetime show is set to air for three hours every night to provide up-close Olympic day insights so American audiences won’t miss a moment. It will show an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the world’s greatest athletes and highlight stories surrounding the competitions. 

Peacock will be live-streaming the Summer Olympics “providing fans with the most-comprehensive Olympic destination in U.S. media history.” Audiences can see every competition in every sport, including replays and all 329 medal events as well as all NBC coverage.

Additional day coverage of the Summer Olympics will be hosted on Telemundo for Spanish-speaking audiences. The Universo cable channel will provide even more coverage.

The USA Network, EI, CNBC, Golf Channel, and Universo will release more scheduling details closer to the Games.
