Prime Video is ready for its biggest NBA moment yet. For the first time, Amazon is rolling out full postseason coverage with exclusive games from the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament and select first- and second-round playoff matchups, giving Prime members a brand-new way to watch the NBA’s biggest games.
Instead of being just another place to watch basketball, Prime Video is trying to make the postseason more immersive, interactive, informative, and data-driven. For its upcoming coverage, the platform is expanding its fan-focused features throughout the playoffs, including Multiview, Rapid Recap, Key Moments, Shop the Game, Stats, and a personalized bet-tracking experience with FanDuel. On top of that, Prime Vision is getting a bigger role in the postseason.
Prime Vision, which debuted during the regular season, adds an alternate viewing experience with an above-the-rim camera angle, advanced stats, and on-screen graphics designed to bring fans closer to the game. During the playoffs, Prime Video is also introducing AI-powered Prime Insights, including tools that can identify mismatch opportunities and surface real-time advanced stats like catch-and-shoot three-point percentage, dribbles per shot, and pace across half court.
Prime’s first NBA postseason lineup also brings star power to the desk
For the 2026 slate, Prime Video is also making it easy to follow the postseason with NBA on Prime Pregame and NBA Nightcap studio coverage built around the action. The NBA on Prime studio team features Blake Griffin, Udonis Haslem, and Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki, with Taylor Rooks hosting. Kyle Lowry will also join the desk for select shows during the postseason.
For game coverage, Prime Video is bringing in a strong announcing lineup that includes Ian Eagle, Kevin Harlan, and Michael Grady, along with analysts Brent Barry, Jim Jackson, and Stan Van Gundy. Hall of Famers Candace Parker, Dwyane Wade, and Steve Nash will also rotate through game and studio coverage.
