In case you missed it, Sling TV is giving classic TV fans a new way to stream their favorite shows 24/7. MeTV is now available on Sling Blue, Sling Orange, and Sling Select. The network made it official with an announcement Tuesday.
“We are excited that the MeTV Network will now be available to Sling TV subscribers around the country,” said Neal Sabin, vice-chairman for Weigel Broadcasting Co. “We are always pushing to make MeTV as accessible to as many viewers as possible. We are happy to partner with Dish on this carriage and pleased that millions of Sling TV customers will now be able to watch MeTV’s memorable entertainment programming.”
We first shared the news of MeTV coming to Sling last month. In its own announcement, Sling wrote “With all due respect to fuzzy blankets and warm drinks on cold days, there are few things more comforting than revisiting the classic entertainment we grew up on. If you’re in need of a potent dose of nostalgia, MeTV, which is now available to all Sling Orange, Blue or Select subscribers, is the channel for you.”
Sling TV subscribers will have access to the full MeTV schedule of over 60 classic TV series airing each week. The channel features series from roughly the ’50s through the ’80s, shown in a schedule that stays the same week to week, so you’ll know exactly when to tune in to watch your favorites. Highlights include four straight episodes of M*A*S*H every weeknight beginning at 6 pm ET, Saturday morning cartoons starting with Popeye at 7 am ET, and Sunday marathons of favorites like a four-episode block of All in the Family at 8 pm ET.
