Max is rolling out a Black Friday deal for its ad-supported tier. Starting today, Max With Ads will be 70% off through November 27.
New and returning Max members can sign up for $2.99 a month for the first six months, down from its regular price of $9.99. Users can access content from HBO, TLC, Food Network, HGTV, Cartoon Network, and OWN. Max will also include The Bleacher Report Sports Add-On for no additional cost, which provides coverage of the MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA Men’s March Madness, and U.S. Soccer events. Subscribers can also stream CNN Max, a 24/7 news service with a custom lineup just for Max.
Max is adding several HBO Original series to its content library next year, including the upcoming drama series True Detective: Night Country, starring Academy Award winner and Emmy-nominated actress Jodie Foster and Kali Reis. Also debuting in 2024 is The Sympathizer, starring Robert Downey Jr, Hoa Xuande, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Ky Duyen, and Sandra Oh, as well as The Regime, starring Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet.
Also coming to Max is the HBO Original limited documentary The Jinx – Part Two, a six-episode continuation of the hit 2015 series, The Franchise, Get Millie Black, and a series from Jerrod Carmichael.
A slew of new Max Originals will make their way to the platform next year, including Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios’ The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell, Conan O’Brien Must Go, and Duster. Max confirmed that Warner Bros. Pictures’ Blue Beetle and Barbie are coming soon.
Several fan-favorite series are returning for another season in 2024. Curb Your Enthusiasm returns in February, and House of the Dragon returns this summer. My Brilliant Friend, Industry, We’re Here, Hacks, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, Tokyo Vice, The Sex Lives of College Girls, and Sort Of have also been renewed for another season.
Those who sign up before Thanksgiving will get access to watchlists of holiday programs, such as Loony Tunes Presents: Bugs & Daffy’s Thanksgiving Road Trip, Macy’s Thanksgiving Spectacular, Thanksgiving Grubdown, and Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge. Max also offers classic Thanksgiving-themed episodes of series, including Friends, Sesame Street, The Big Bang Theory, South Park, and more.
Leading up to the holiday season, catch classic holiday content like Elf, A Christmas Carol, Holiday Baking Championship, and Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays.
