Wahlberg+HBO MaxMark Wahlberg has been a busy man lately. Just after his Netflix movie Spenser Confidential was released last weekend on March 6, HBO Max has announced they’re giving the green light on a new docuseries for the platform under the witty title, Wahl Street.

The reality show will be an 8-episode series starring, naturally, Mark Wahlberg himself. According to HBO Max’s description of the series, “viewers will learn about his successes and failures and glean powerful business and life lessons while also getting to know the cast of colorful characters that make up Wahlberg’s real-life entourage.”

“We’re documenting the ups, the downs, the hits and the misses,” said Wahlberg. “It’s all the real stuff that’s happening while I’m growing my businesses. We’re pulling back the curtain and hopefully it’s an opportunity to inspire other entrepreneurs.”

“This series will be an intimate exploration behind the drive that makes Mark Wahlberg one of the most unique stars in entertainment,” said Jennifer O’Connell, executive vice president of original non-fiction and kids programming, HBO Max. “Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit is fun to watch and we hope to show both the struggle and triumphs of what it takes to succeed.”

Wahlberg has an ever-expanding business portfolio ranging from activewear, sports nutrition supplements, television and film production companies, and even a Chevrolet dealership. Most recently, the actor/businessman invested in global fitness gym, F45 Training.

Between his rigorous acting schedule (he has five movies scheduled for 2020 so far) and his personal business ventures, each episode will showcase entrepreneurs and inventors with the opportunity to pitch him ideas in hopes of gaining an endorsement or investment.

Production for the Wahl Street began in December 2019 with no scheduled release date yet.
