Local Now, the Allen Media Group’s free streaming service specializing in local news and entertainment, is bolstering its content offering through an expanded partnership with CBS. This collaboration brings three popular CBS programs to the platform as free ad-supported television (FAST) channels: 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, and Entertainment Tonight.

“Through the addition of these three excellent CBS FAST channels, Local Now continues to expand its foothold in delivering the best FREE streaming entertainment and news content available,” said Byron Allen, Founder/Chairman/CEO of Allen Media Group.

The 60 Minutes channel will feature a curated selection of classic segments from the renowned news magazine, including interviews by legendary correspondents like Mike Wallace and iconic moments with prominent figures from various fields.

Entertainment Tonight will provide viewers with the latest news from the world of movies, television, and celebrities, including behind-the-scenes glimpses of awards shows and red carpet events.

True crime enthusiasts can delve into the 48 Hours channel, which offers over 500 episodes of the award-winning series. The channel will feature themed blocks of episodes, covering topics like Crimes of Passion, Serial Killings, and Missing Persons.

This partnership significantly enhances Local Now’s entertainment lineup, adding to its existing library of over 500 free streaming channels, including local news channels in every DMA across the US. The platform also offers an extensive collection of movies, TV shows, and documentaries.

“Partnering with Local Now introduces our award-winning news, entertainment, and true crime programming to new audiences,” said Wendy McMahon, President and CEO of CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures.

This expansion reinforces Local Now’s commitment to providing diverse and engaging content to its viewers, solidifying its position as a leading free streaming service in the US.
