The Los Angeles Dodgers become the latest MLB team to add a direct-to-consumer streaming option for fans. The MLB and Spectrum Sportsnet LA have teamed up to provide fans with 24/7 coverage of the Dodgers via the new SNLA+ streaming platform.
SNLA+ will offer fans who live in the Dodgers regional broadcast market: original programming, pre- and postgame coverage, and every non-nationally exclusive live game. Subscribers can stream all SNLA+ programming on the MLB app or MLB.com. Existing Spectrum TV customers who subscribe to a package that includes Spectrum Sportsnet LA can watch the Dodgers and other SNLA+ programming for no additional cost. Additionally, customers who subscribe to both Spectrum’s mobile and internet services can watch SNLA+ content without extra fees. DIRECTV customers who have SportsNet LA can also authenticate SNLA+ online.
For non-Speturm customers looking to stream the Dodgers live without the additional costs of a pay-TV package of channels. You can sign up for SNLA+ for $29.99 per month or $199.99 annually during the 2025 season. The platform will stream over 140 games live or on-demand within the Dodgers broadcast territory. Blackout restrictions apply.
With this move, the Dodgers become the 23rd of the MLB’s 30 teams to offer in-market fans a direct-to-consumer streaming service. The Dodgers join their National League rival New York Mets as teams that offer a third-party streaming platform through the MLB app and website. Last month, the Mets launched the SNY direct-to-consumer platform within MLB.TV and the MLB app.
Baseball looks to hit a home run with its next media deal by bundling all its local TV streaming rights in 2028. The league wants to consolidate its local rights as it shops around various platforms for its future. With rights for Sunday Night Baseball currently up for bat, the digital shift and accessibility will play a big role in the sport over the next few years.
The 2025 MLB Season begins on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:10 AM ET with the LA Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs in the 2025 Tokyo Series.
